The gear you effectively need depends on the type of Whale Watching trip you are envisaging.
Even if most people think of whale watching as a boat-based activity, it is also possible to see whales,
dolphins and porpoises from the shore and from the air.
As equipment is especially important for water-based Whale Watching, the following list applies
mostly to trips on a vessel.
